Monetization and Revenue Sharing Policy
Last Updated:Tuesday, 01 October, 2024
At NsAds.in, powered by Nile Spectra, we are committed to fostering a sustainable and transparent ecosystem for advertisers, publishers, and partners. This Monetization and Revenue Sharing Policy outlines how revenue is generated, shared, and distributed, ensuring that all stakeholders are fairly compensated for their contributions to the platform.
1. Overview of Monetization on NsAds.in
NsAds.in operates as an ad-tech platform, allowing advertisers to serve targeted ads on publisher websites and mobile apps. Our platform facilitates multiple ad formats, including banner ads, video ads, rich media, and more. Advertisers are charged based on the performance of their ads, while publishers earn a share of the revenue generated from ads displayed on their sites.
Revenue is generated primarily through the following models:
- Cost Per Click (CPC): Advertisers pay when a user clicks on their ad.
- Cost Per Mille (CPM): Advertisers pay based on the number of impressions (per 1,000 views).
- Cost Per Action (CPA): Advertisers pay when users complete a specific action, such as filling out a form, signing up, or making a purchase.
2. Revenue Sharing Model
NsAds.in uses a transparent and fair revenue-sharing model, ensuring publishers receive a significant portion of the advertising revenue generated through ads displayed on their sites or apps. Our revenue-sharing model depends on several factors, including ad format, traffic quality, and advertiser demand.
2.1 Publisher Revenue Share
The revenue split between NsAds.in and publishers is typically based on a percentage of the total revenue generated from the ads displayed on the publisher's site.
- Standard Revenue Share: Publishers receive a set percentage of the revenue generated from ad impressions, clicks, or actions on their site. NsAds.in retains the remaining percentage to cover platform operation costs, including ad serving, fraud detection, and performance optimization.
- Premium Publishers: Publishers with high traffic volume, niche audiences, or premium placements may be eligible for a higher revenue share, typically negotiated on a case-by-case basis.
2.2 Advertiser Costs and Billing
Advertisers are charged based on their selected pricing model (CPC, CPM, CPA). NsAds.in provides advertisers with a detailed breakdown of costs, including:
- Ad Performance Metrics: Detailed reports on impressions, clicks, and conversions, updated in real-time through the advertiser dashboard.
- Budget Control: Advertisers can set daily, weekly, or total campaign budgets, ensuring they do not exceed their desired spend.
- Billing Cycle: Advertisers are billed at the end of each billing cycle, typically on a monthly basis, or when their budget is exhausted.
2.3 Revenue from Additional Services
In addition to ad revenue, NsAds.in may offer additional monetization services, such as:
- Data Insights and Reporting: Premium reports and insights for advertisers looking for detailed audience analysis and performance metrics.
- Ad Placement Optimization: Advanced ad placement optimization for publishers looking to improve their ad revenues by optimizing ad slots for higher visibility and engagement.
3. Payment Terms for Publishers
NsAds.in ensures timely payments to publishers, with clear payment schedules and easy tracking through the publisher dashboard.
3.1 Payment Frequency
Publishers are paid on a Net-30 basis, meaning payments are made 30 days after the end of the month in which the revenue was earned. For example, revenue earned in January will be paid by the end of February.
3.2 Minimum Payment Threshold
To reduce transaction fees, payments are processed once publishers reach a minimum payout threshold. The default threshold is $100 for countries other than India and ₹500 for India., but publishers can adjust this amount in their payment settings with a minimum payout threshold of ₹500.
- Automatic Payments: Once the threshold is met, payments are automatically disbursed at the end of the payment cycle.
- Manual Withdrawal: Publishers may request a manual withdrawal of funds if they reach the payout threshold before the scheduled payment date.
3.3 Payment Methods
Publishers can choose from several payment methods:
- Bank Transfer (ACH or Wire): Direct deposit into a bank account. Fees may apply for international wire transfers.
- PayPal: Available for quick, low-fee transactions.
- Other Digital Payment Services: Depending on the region, other payment services like Payoneer may be available.
3.4 Payment Tracking
Publishers can track their earnings and payment status through the NsAds.in publisher dashboard, which provides:
- Daily Earnings Reports: Real-time tracking of revenue generated from ads.
- Payment History: A detailed history of past payments, including dates, amounts, and payment methods.
- Pending Payments: Status updates on upcoming payments, including expected processing dates.
4. Discrepancies and Disputes
We take revenue transparency seriously and work hard to minimize discrepancies between reported ad performance and actual earnings. However, we understand that discrepancies can occasionally occur.
4.1 Reporting Discrepancies
Publishers and advertisers can report any discrepancies in their revenue or performance data by contacting NsAds.in support. Reports should be submitted within 30 days of the issue being identified.
4.2 Resolution Process
Upon receiving a discrepancy report, NsAds.in will:
- Investigate the Issue: Our team will review performance logs, ad tracking data, and traffic quality metrics to identify potential causes.
- Provide a Resolution: If a discrepancy is confirmed, we will either adjust the earnings or provide an explanation for the data mismatch.
- Adjustments: In cases of confirmed discrepancies, publishers may receive additional payments or advertisers may be refunded for overcharges.
4.3 Fraud Prevention and Invalid Traffic
NsAds.in employs sophisticated fraud detection systems to monitor traffic quality and prevent invalid activity, such as bot clicks or fake impressions. Revenue generated from fraudulent traffic is not eligible for payment and may result in a chargeback or deduction.
- Click Fraud: Advertisers will not be charged for invalid clicks detected by our system, and any revenue from invalid clicks will be deducted from publisher earnings.
- Invalid Traffic: Publishers are responsible for ensuring their traffic quality. If invalid traffic is detected, NsAds.in reserves the right to withhold payments or suspend accounts.
5. Ad Performance and Optimization
Maximizing revenue for both advertisers and publishers is a priority at NsAds.in. We use data-driven tools to ensure ads are delivered effectively and optimize performance across the platform.
5.1 Ad Placement Optimization
Our platform uses automated algorithms to optimize ad placement based on:
- User Engagement: Higher visibility placements are prioritized for ads likely to generate clicks or conversions.
- Ad Viewability: Ads that appear in-view for longer durations are favored, improving advertiser performance and increasing publisher earnings.
- A/B Testing: Advertisers and publishers can conduct A/B testing to compare different ad creatives, placements, and formats, allowing them to fine-tune campaigns for better performance.
5.2 Dynamic Pricing
NsAds.in uses a real-time bidding (RTB) model to ensure publishers receive the highest possible revenue from advertisers. Advertisers bid in real-time for ad placements, and the platform dynamically adjusts ad prices based on demand, traffic quality, and audience segmentation.
- Bid Optimization: Advertisers can set bid limits and targeting preferences to ensure their ads are shown to the most relevant audiences at the most competitive rates.
- Ad Mediation: Publishers can integrate NsAds.in with other ad networks to ensure the highest possible yield from ad placements. The system automatically selects the highest bidder across all connected ad networks.
6. Compliance and Tax Reporting
To ensure compliance with financial regulations, NsAds.in requires that all publishers provide accurate tax information.
6.1 Tax Information
Depending on your location and revenue threshold, you may be required to submit tax forms to NsAds.in before receiving payments. This may include:
- W-9 (U.S. Publishers): Required for U.S.-based publishers to report earnings to the IRS.
- W-8BEN (Non-U.S. Publishers): Required for non-U.S. publishers to declare their foreign tax status and claim tax treaty benefits (if applicable).
6.2 Tax Withholding
In some cases, NsAds.in may be required to withhold taxes on publisher earnings, depending on local tax laws and regulations. Publishers will be informed of any tax withholdings on their earnings statements.
7. Transparency and Accountability
NsAds.in is committed to maintaining a transparent and fair revenue-sharing model for all stakeholders.
7.1 Real-time Reporting
Advertisers and publishers have access to real-time performance data through their dashboards. This includes impressions, clicks, conversions, and revenue breakdowns.
7.2 Revenue Audits
To ensure accuracy and transparency, NsAds.in conducts regular audits of ad performance and revenue data. We also provide third-party verification for advertisers and publishers who want to validate their earnings or ad metrics through external tools such as Google Analytics or other ad performance platforms.
